I don’t like deviled eggs, y’all.
And y’all have been to potlucks and church functions and receptions and baby showers and all that enough to know that people bring deviled eggs to pretty much every event imaginable. Right?
There were, however, NO deviled eggs present at my wedding. I felt I needed to state that loudly and clearly. 😉
Anyway, I’ve tried to love deviled eggs. Or even just like them.
But WHY is there relish or raw red onion or chopped peppers or other things of texture in every deviled egg recipe out there?
So maybe you can tell I have a weird thing about texture? It’s true… I’m generally not picky about the tastes of foods; but certain textures? Like raw onion?
Nope. If you want to see my gag reflex go from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds, watch what happens if I accidentally chomp down on a piece of raw onion.
It ain’t pretty.
Smooth & Creamy Everything Seasoning Deviled Eggs
These keto, paleo, and Whole30 Everything Seasoning Deviled Eggs are FINALLY what I’ve been missing in deviled eggs my whole life!
THESE are the deviled eggs I’m bringing to potlucks, receptions, and showers from now on!
When you bite into them, there are no weird textures. It’s a smooth and creamy mixture, sprinkled with a bit of my favorite seasoning blend!
And if you’re an onion-lover, you’ll be happy to know it’s there — just in a less noticeable form for those of us who are extra gaggy about the texture — as a bit of onion powder and then the dried, minced onion in Everything Seasoning.

My No-Fail Method for Instant Pot Hard-Boiled Eggs works every time — without the 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 methods! And it even makes farm-fresh eggs easy to peel!
My Love Affair With Everything Seasoning
It started with a rare trip to Trader Joe’s…
Everything Seasoning wasn’t on the shopping list, but when I passed by it, I remembered that it was becoming a big deal on Pinterest. So, I decided to give it a try.
I brought home the Everything Seasoning, put it away in my spice cabinet, and forgot about it.
Until, months later, when we were roasting sweet potatoes and I remembered it! Then, my Everything Seasoning Roasted Sweet Potatoes were born — and have taken the Real Food portion of the Internet by storm!
And then, I added Everything Seasoning to cream cheese to make an out-of-this-world, 2-minute dip!
Once again, Everything Seasoning rescues what has become for some a boring, hum-ho food: deviled eggs.
Gone are the 80s and 90s deviled egg recipes with relish, Miracle Whip, and raw onion, or paprika sprinkled on top. It’s time for a deviled egg makeover! (Not that those things can’t be great in deviled eggs… it’s just time for me to change things up!)
These keto, paleo, and Whole30 Everything Seasoning Deviled Eggs make a perfect appetizer or side dish for any get-together!
Keto, Paleo, & Whole30 Deviled Eggs?!
That’s right! There’s nothing questionable in these little eggs!
Eggs and Everything Seasoning are straight-up Real Food ingredients. The mayo and Dijon mustard might be what trips you up.
The most important thing is to find a mayo made without rancid vegetable oils, such as canola or soybean oils, and without added sugar.
Of course, homemade mayo is the best way to go because you get to control all the ingredients. Here’s my favorite homemade mayo recipe!
Buuuut… let’s not kid ourselves… Sometimes, we’re just not in a homemade mayo phase of life. And, that’s ok, Momma. <3
Here are my keto/paleo/Whole30 recommendations for mayo and Dijon mustard:
- The ONLY keto/paleo/Whole30 mayo I know of: Primal Kitchen Mayo (best price is Thrive Market)
- Sugar-free, clean ingredients Thrive Market Dijon Mustard
- Organicville Dijon Mustard – also sugar-free and clean ingredients
To Pipe or Not To Pipe?
In my opinion, a piping bag and a set of tips is a good investment if you’re spending a fair bit of time in your kitchen.
And it’s not just handy for piping frosting.
The easiest, mess-free way to get the deviled egg filling back into the egg white is with a piping bag! You can use any tip you like, depending on how artsy you want to get. I uses a simple round tip for a smooth finish.
You have complete control and can fill each egg neatly and precisely. It really, really does save time and effort!
I have this very simple, amateur set, and it works great for me!
Now, let’s make these real food Everything Seasoning Deviled Eggs!
Everything Seasoning Deviled Eggs (keto, paleo, Whole30)
Gone are the 80s and 90s deviled egg recipes with relish and Miracle Whip! These keto, paleo, and Whole30 Everything Seasoning Deviled Eggs make a perfect appetizer or side dish for any get-together! Even deviled egg-haters love them!
Ingredients
- 1dozen pastured eggsboiled and peeled (Here's my No-Fail Method for boiled eggs.)
- 1/4cupmayohomemade or sugar-free store-bought, such as Primal Kitchen
- 2tablespoonsMCT Oil<-- My coupon code ALLTHETHINGS saves you 10% on this MCT Oil!
- 1tablespoonsugar-free Dijon mustard
- 1/2teaspoongarlic powder
- 1/4teaspoononion powder
- 1/4teaspoonsalt
- Everything Seasoning Blend
Instructions
- Once eggs are boiled and peeled, cut them in half and scoop out the cooked yolks into the bowl of a food processor or medium-size mixing bowl.
- Add the mayo, MCT oil, mustard, garlic and onion powders, and salt, and process until smooth. Alternatively, smash the mixture together with a fork until desired consistency is reached.
- Spoon the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into the whites.
- Sprinkle deviled eggs generously with Everything Seasoning.
- Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
I use my food processor to combine the cooked yolks with the other ingredients. I find that it gives the filling the creamiest texture that is also super easy to pipe. If you don't have a food processor, use a fork to smash all the ingredients together until the filling is as smooth (or chunky) as you'd like.

Hi there! I never understood why there is pickle relish in some deviled egg recipes I’ve seen! I always made them just like my grandmother – mayo or miracle whip, yellow mustard, a little salt & pepper, and we put a green olive slice on top. We started putting a cup of olive slices on the side because some of our family members don’t like olives. Several years ago my then father-in-law taught me a new trick and I now also add prepared horseradish to them. Not much of a texture difference, so I only notice the flavor. 🙂 I… Read more »
Hello maryann. If you have Walmart they may have it there. My local Walmart just recently started selling it. I found it by chance today. Best of luck. I will be trying this recipe soon.
Hi there, I live in Canada and we don’t have a Trader Joe’s here, therefore no Everything Seasoning lol. Would you be able to offer up maybe a homemade recipe for a seasoning instead? Thanks so much 🙂 PS this recipe looks really delicious!
Hey Mary-Ann, I don’t have a recipe for Everything Seasoning (and understand not having a TJ’s, too!). I did find this DIY version with a quick Google search. Hope it helps! https://www.perrysplate.com/2017/06/diy-everything-bagel-seasoning.html
LOVE deviled eggs! These look amazing. Confess I don’t have a ‘piping bag’ but now inspired to order one! I love traditional and all variations — Making these for sure.
I love a creamy smooth (non-gaggy!) devilled egg, too! No need to mess with eggy perfection with bits of things, right!?
Deviled eggs are so easy to make and they add a festive mood to any potluck!
SO GOOD! I haven’t tried it with chicken eggs yet, but can vouch for this being AMAZING made with ducks. LOVE IT!
