Paleo Maple Clementine Margarita
I ran out of limes…
That’s how this all started.
And now, I may never have a regular lime margarita again.
I’m a Margarita Purist. I don’t want bottled mixes. Just give me pure juice, real simple syrup, and a good tequila.
Since we’ve been harvesting maple sap and boiling it to make our own maple syrup…
And since orange and maple go so well together…
It only made sense for me to marry the two in a refreshing, slightly sweet, yet slightly tart big girl drink!
I’m giving you this recipe in parts — so you can double or triple or quadruple it for a close-knit setting or increase the part size for a crowd.
For example, to make one margarita, you’ll use 2 ounces tequila, 1 ounce juice, and 1 ounce simple syrup. For a crowd, use 2 cups tequila, 1 cup juice, and 1 cup simple syrup. Just adjust your parts up or down as needed.
Maple Simple Syrup
Combine 1 part pure maple syrup and 1 part hot water in a pitcher or jar. Give it a stir!
That’s going to infuse this drink with a slight sweetness and maple flavor.
If you have any left after your drinks, this simple syrup can be refrigerated up to a week.
Now, let’s make this Maple Clementine Margarita, shall we?

This looks amazing! Love the colors. I typically use raw honey for my margaritas, but I bet maple syrup is wonderful, too. Nothing beats fresh ingredients!
Sounds like a lovely big-girl drink! 🙂
I’ve been making a maple simple syrup cocktail for my hubby lately, in the evenings. Yours is SO pretty and lovely.
Thank you, Meg! This one sure was delicious!
Sounds delicious! Love clementines.
Absolutely love this recipe!
I am a Marg fan.. especially in Mexico in Toronto’s winter-time!
I like my Marg without the salted rim, made with a great quality tequila and fresh limes.
Sometimes.. a Mango version. This looks so YUMMY!! Thanks!~
