I basically have 276 Post-its sticking out of mine, and I use it multiple times a day. I am 100% certain that it’s been instrumental in our ability to thrive on this eating plan — and since January 1, I’ve lost 12 pounds and The Hubs has lost 10!
So I thought I’d share my 10 favorite recipes from the THM Cookbook.
Whether you’re a newbie who wants to try a few recipes but you don’t know where to start (because there are a TON of recipes, y’all!) or a THM veteran who’s been doing this a long time, it’s always fun to know what other people love and what works for them.
In no particular order… here are my 10 favorite recipes from the THM Cookbook!
#1 — Quinoa Goes Cajun — E (p. 69)
The best way to eat quinoa ever! (I just have to use more Cajun seasoning because I find the recipe as-is to be on the bland side.)

#2 — Frosted Cinnamon Muffin — S (p. 276)
This tastes like spice cake with cream cheese frosting — one of my absolute favorite things. 🙂
Since we don’t have a microwave, I use the oven and a small ramekin, like this. I’ve had it for breakfast, dessert after lunch, and late-night snack. I never get tired of it!
#3 — Shake Gone Nuts — FP (p. 411)
This is my favorite
thing shake in the book! I LOVE it!
I most commonly have this shake as my afternoon snack while I’m working at my desk, but it also makes a great FP breakfast or late-night snack. Ok, basically, it’s awesome all the time. I really wondered how I’d like the THM Pressed Peanut Flour, but it’s GREAT!
#4 — Wonder Wraps — FP (p. 204)
These babies are lifesavers!
We use them for our fajitas and tacos, Salsa Verde Chicken, and deli turkey wraps. I make the family batch so we can grab them for quick lunches.
#5 — Cowboy Grub — E (p. 59)
What an easy skillet meal! And I make ours even more nourishing by using sprouted brown rice.
The Hubs and I eat ours as-is, while the peeps top theirs with grated raw cheddar.
#6 — Slow Fajitas — S or E (p. 53)
I’m a Tex-Mex girl with all my heart. So fajitas of any sort are basically a win in my book.
I’d never tried Crock Pot fajitas before THM. And I never put bell peppers in my homemade fajitas because the peeps and I don’t like bell peppers.
I took a leap of faith, including the bell peppers and onions, and we all loved it! The peppers got soft enough that their texture wasn’t an issue. As with most THM recipes, I add more spices and seasonings than the original recipe.
#7 — Butterfly Wings Cake — FP (p. 301)
This cake is so awesome! I even took it to a board meeting where no one had ever tasted alternative sweeteners, and the entire thing was eaten!
My favorite way to eat this cake is topped with my Sugar-Free Lemon Curd, making it a delish S dessert or snack.

#8 — Chocolate Fat-Stripping Frappa — FP (p. 418)
Ok, honestly, this one made the list because this is The Hubs’ favorite thing in the entire cookbook. He makes one of these shakes every night as his “midnight snack”.
He has the recipe memorized and can do it all by himself! Even the peeps have been making this frappa on their own and loving it. I really like this drink, but the Shake Gone Nuts is MY favorite!
#9 — Trimmy Rich — S (p. 430)
The first time I had the Trimmy Rich, I wondered what the heck took me so long to try it.
Maybe because the recipe is on the same page as several other recipes and there’s no photo to showcase it … but it deserves to be showcased! When fried eggs alone for breakfast didn’t fill me up, this was the perfect addition to round out my morning.
#10 — Chocolate Waffles — E (p. 265)
The peeps basically do back flips when I make these. We do the family batch and keep them in the freezer so the peeps can pop their own in the toaster — and Mommy and Daddy can sleep in on Saturday mornings.
I love these on their own — no toppings or anything. They’re oh-so chocolate-y, not too sweet!
