Dietzville.TV #002: My 2-Ingredient Homemade Face Moisturizer
I am almost 33, and people tell me I look 25 to 27 years old…
How is this possible?!
I take care of my skin with this healing, 2-ingredient homemade face moisturizer!
Healthy skin is fresh, glowing, and young-looking skin. We have to nourish our skin so that it can look its best!
I don’t go to the beauty counter at the department store and buy expensive tubes or bottles of moisturizer full of toxic chemicals I can’t pronounce.
I use just 2 ingredients — and I believe it’s made such a difference in the way my skin looks and feels… even minimizing old scars and age spots!
What are 2 secret weapon ingredients in my healing, homemade face moisturizer?
#1 — Frankincense Essential Oil
If you haven’t gotten started with essential oils yet, may I humbly suggest that you start with frankincense?
Frankincense is AMAZING for our skin, with benefits like:
- It’s cytophylactic. This means that it promotes the regeneration of new, healthy cells and tissues, while also protecting existing healthy cells and tissues.
- It can break down scar tissue, reducing the appearance of scarring from acne, eczema, or chicken pox.
- It’s anti-inflammatory — perfect for skin that’s red or blemishes that are swollen, tender, and red.
I use and LOVE the EOs from Spark Naturals.

#2 — Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil most closely resembles our skin’s own sebum (oil). So it makes sense to put it on our faces, right?
Jojoba is also antibacterial and antimicrobial.
Because pimples and zits are caused by a build-up of bacteria and dirt on the skin that get into our pores and clog them, killing that zit-causing bacteria keeps those blemishes at bay.
If you can’t find or afford jojoba oil, almond oil is an excellent substitute.
My jojoba oil comes from Trader Joe’s, but if you don’t have a TJ’s near you or if you prefer to shop from the comfort of your home and have your stuff come from the guy in the big brown truck, you can find jojoba oil here or almond oil here.
Make & Apply My 2-Ingredient Homemade Face Moisturizer
Place a pea-size amount of jojoba (or almond) oil in your palm. Add 1 to 2 drops frankincense essential oil. Mix together in your palms and apply to your face and neck.
