Easy Fermented Garlic — 2 Ingredients

  • 3cupspeeled garlic cloves
  • 1tablespoonsalt
  • water to fill the jar


  1. Add peeled garlic cloves to fill a quart-size jar.

  2. Add salt to the jar.

  3. Fill the jar with water.

  4. Cap the jar and leave to ferment at room temperature for 3 to 5 days, burping the jar at least once every 24 hours.

  5. When done, store in the refrigerator and use as you would fresh cloves of garlic.
