Dietzville.TV #005: Finding Gardening Supplies For $1
I rarely find myself in a dollar store…
I just don’t like them. (No offense.)
Yet, last week I found myself in a Dollar Tree, on the lookout for some rawhide chews for my dogs.
A display of spring and summer merchandise greeted me at the entrance: pool toys, plastic yard toys, and gardening supplies.
And everything was a buck.
Gardening doesn’t have to be a huge investment.
I avoided gardening for a long time, believing the financial investments of plants and seeds, row covers, good soil, a composter, raised beds, and more to be too much to justify — especially for a novice gardener like myself.
(I still haven’t successfully grown more than a few strawberries and zucchini!)
If that’s you, take heart! I was pleasantly surprised to discover many useful and cheap gardening supplies at a dollar store (Dollar Tree — not Family Dollar or Dollar General) for literally $1!
